Vertical gardens – an urban green design

Vertical gardens usually come in many unique designs as they are highly versatile in size and shape to maximise the use of tiny spaces. However, like all gardens, even a vertical garden requires much tending and caring for it to thrive well.

Unfortunately, unlike other gardens, it is highly unadvisable to water a vertical garden by hand. For one, it is hard to tell if you’re under- or overwatering the plants. Any excess water will flow downwards and eventually drown out the plants at the lowest level.

For another, the excess water that reaches the bottom may spill and flood the walls and floors of the building, causing irreparable water damage to the building structure.
